Recently I'm too busy with work and I couldn't find time to blog. I also have some family matters to settle these few days.
Sigh... I just wish that I've got more time to breathe...

By the way, I heard some are complaining about "World of Laughs". Heard it was being labeled as 'lame jokes, old fashioned and no topic'. Is it really that bad? I find it was greatly produced. It was so many people's effort!

hello.. "world of laughs" is really not funny at all.. most of them are really lame jokes.. can see that you all are putting in alot of effort.. but my family members and i actually don't find it funny at all.. sorry !

erm.. sadly i wanna say that it's not that good n funny as i firstly thought.. i always love to see the shows of jteam but this time it really make me quite disappointed although there were still some funny scenes.
Precisely, The show was very "Lame". S'pore Media should open up. Perhaps learn more from taiwan, they produce alot of talented host and actors.... unlike here.. always the same old stuff. I din watch TV for almost 1 yr leh....

i felt that it was great! every monday, my family and granny will watch and laugh together. my mother who does her housework around 8pm will faster finish and watch too. hah! don't be discouraged!

oh don't blame me for wad i really want to say.. i do support you.. but the world of laughs show is really getting lame.. i sometimes watch and it seems to have no meaning at all... Last time gao xiao xing dong all this still quite funny..but this world of laughs really is lame.. sorry for my straightforward comment.. i tried to force some smile on me during the show .. but ..zzz... the whole show is just saying muthu clamping the fire engine and criticizing the fat girls. -,0

I'm a big fan of World of Laughs. I even programmed to tape it when I'm not at home on Monday nights.
It's indeed very sad that people don't give World of Laughs a chance. I have been telling my friends to watch it and they also tell me that it is a lame show. But interestingly, my friends watched all those Taiwanese lame shows!
I do watch these Taiwanese variety shows too but I still support local productions a lot!
Some of the lesser known actors/
actresses really act well in World of Laughs. I even thought of joining you guys to act! I think its going to be so fun.
I think the majorities' mentality is "the grass is greener on the other side"! By watching other Taiwanese variety shows, they get to see the more popular celebrities. It's like branded vs no brand.
It's sad but i'll always influence them to watch!

Erm I'm here to give some comments about ''World Of Laughs'' Pardon me for being rude though, hehe.
Well, basically I know that coming up a show isn't any simple 1+1 task, especially those funny ones, the fact that you have to entertain & make your audience laugh, even.
I think it all depends on what kind of audience you are actually. If they're those who don't joke often, naturally they would find WOL funny. However, if those ''typical'' Singaporeans watch them, I don't think they would actually find it funny though. For examples, my friends & I find that all these jokes going around are just mainly typical Singaporeans' joke.(which by repeating them again & again makes it ''qianbian'' rather than funny, ha)
Some main comments on WOL:
I personally find that Li Guo Huang & Hui Ge is fucking funny please !!! It is either their acting is funny(which i think it is) or the script wrriten that is funny.
Well, the rest are alright, expect for some who are,yes, what teenagers use them nowadays, Lame! totally. Some examples are Mr Muthu, yes he is very cute but the things he said made me go -.- '' Clamp your fire engine ah! ''
About Bao Mei Li, i prefer him acting as Dua Kang though, BML ain't funny at all while DK is. Ha.
And yes, lzb you, is that what you're waiting for? Haha. You might be soooo funny but I personally think that the whole show could actually manage without you, right? I'm sorry if I said anything wrong but I just want to state the facts right though.

Hi, sadly ''world of laughs'' is really lame. IThe part on Jack Neo talk about himself as the director and what is normally the drama shows is like nothing to put inside the show than add that segment in. Somemore with the background,it's kind of distracting.
Can see the effort of making it lah..but quite budget making like that. With those graphics... It's not like those Taiwanese graphics, read liao really can laugh out loud. But yours, is really... huh...oh ok. No meaning kind.

Like alot of them have mentioned. The quality of local comedies are really really going down the drain.
Personally I find it really hard to laugh to those really lame jokes, it's so bad to a point where i get goosebumps. Sorry for being so direct, but it's a sad truth.
Then again there are really loads of compeition nowadays, comparing to taiwan comedies and all.
I really prefer the gao xiao xing dong the last time, those were really good.
world of laughs didnt exactl give me the laughter i expected. it was in fact so bad i could not bother to watch it anymore. it is a very pathetic attempt at trying to go back to the good ol' days of liang po po and liang si mei. doh, i know alot of people put in efforts, BUT putting in effort does not immediately means rewards. like studying hard, but having a poor brain, still results in failure. sorry!

I think the term "funny" is relative. Like some people can laugh at lame jokes while others roll their eyes at them.
Yet some are really hilarious (I particularly like Hossan Leong's humor).
World of laughs is very "diao" or -.-" for me.
But my sister can laugh like a mad woman when watching.
To me, humour has changed from being "scripted" to impromptu. WOL seemed to be very "scripted" in my honest opinion. But Taiwanese variety shows are funny because the things they say are very impromptu.
I guess the world is everchanging and thus humour itself has been redefined.
I guess the key is to find out what kind of humour tickles us the most and to work on a variety show based on that. Based on some comments here, it seems like "scripted" jokes have been obsolete. :)
Hopefully, I bring across my intentions correctly, not to put anyone down but to give constructive comments for improvement. Good luck and all the best!
sorry i dont mean to be mean, i think the show is quite meaningless,like all the cmi "actors" trying to get famous.. the worse show in media corp. doing all the stupid rap, dance.. omg. the script is badly written. try harder nx time.. doesnt help esp when channel U is producing the famous campus superstar at the same time.

Being lame then could only make jokes which are funny.
The show is okay overall, but wasn't as perfect as I've thought. Some of the jokes weren't really very funny.. Well, at least it couldn't make me laugh my head off :D
I think the characters, the props, everything are okay except perhaps the jokes could be more appealing ya?

yes, for me,I also feel that "world of laughs" is really not funny at all...or in chinese this show is too "kua zhang",overeact. I even found that some scenes were copy from taiwanese show.

Tried watching. but its too lame. not funny. but yet tries so hard to impress and act funny. and im not the only one who think so either. most of my friends second my thoughts.
I find World Of Laughs rather nice to watch. :) Although it's kinda lame, some parts ARE funny, to tell the truth. Not as funny as some other shows but a bit lah.
It's OK. Try harder. Just be original. There're still some people who like such shows =)
